Happauge HD PVR w/Sony Vegas?
Can the Happauge HD PVR GAMING EDITION recordings be used with Sony Vegas? I am continually getting this message with a window that says Sony Vegas has stopped working:

I’m running Windows 7 Ultimate, with 8 cores running @ 3.9 GHZ and 16 GB of Ram
Also, just a random question, how do you change one color from another in Vegas 12? I’ve followed lot’s of Tuts but they never work 😛 -

I have read a lot about problems with the gaming edition of the Happauge HD PVR. I have the older one and the AVCHD .TS files seem to edit the easiest in Vegas Pro.
One confusing thing about the Happauge HD PVR software is that some people thing that because they are recording from an XBOX 360 that they should be recording using the XBOX 360 option (sounds logical). Actually, that options is only to be used if you want to play your movies back on the XBOX 360. If you want to edit them and play them on your PC, you should be using the AVCHD option.

You want to use the Color Corrector (Secondary). This will allow you to select a color with the eye dropper, fine tune the shade/hue that you want and then do any number of things with it including changing the color.

Try this tutorial:
It shows you how to use the Secondary Color Corrector to make part of a video Black & White but you could just as easily color it a different color by rotating the Hue.

Ah, that doesn’t work for me, whenever I adjust rotate hue the hue doesn’t change at all

Enable Show Mask to check what is being masked. Everything that is white will be affected. Everything that is black will not. Adjust the high and low on the Limit Luminance, Limit Saturation, and Limit Hue section to make the mask larger or smaller. Then once you have the mask correct, turn off Show Mask and changing the Hue will work. You can also increase the Gain and Saturation if you want more intense colors.
