    HI all,

Ive got a brand new shiny epson 3880 A2 Printer.

Ive had great results in the past with their smaller format printers and custom epson papers, but this time round i decided to use Hahnemuhle papers as I understood they give more professional results.

    I have,however, been disappointed.

Ive installed the correct icc profiles from hahnemuhle for the printer and paper types but the results really lack the punch of the epson papers, the colours tend to go muddy in darker areas.

On top of this I also now have the WISYWIG issue: what i get is certainly not what im seeing; In an effort to rectify this ive played around with using the same icc profile within photoshop – which kind of works in that im now getting an on screen image which almost looks as dull as the print – but this is not really “the solution” im after….

Can any experts give me some tips?

It’s all the those pesky details :p
