Does anyone know how make the keyframe ‘overshoot’ without separating dimensions?

(in other words, to pull up the curve past the horizontal point)

I’m trying to make the image move in a diagonal line, so I’d rather avoid separating the dimensions. Separating dimensions makes it easy to adjust the handles but for diagonal movement it’s inconvenient because you have to change both X and Y axis, as opposed to the overall position.

    I hope this makes sense.

I’ve tried to do this ‘overblown’ curve on the speed graph editor (without separating the dimensions) but to no avail:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

its a trial and error thing…you will get used to it…but what i like to do sometimes is create 2 auto beazier keyframes on the ends and then move it in the middle…this seems to give more flow to the graph

I highly recommend the Flow plug-in for making this issue go away.

Thanks, I’ve just started to watch a tutorial on how to use this plug-in. It looks like a real time-saver.
