Handheld stabilization recommendations for BMPCC4K

February 19, 2022 at 12:24 amHello CC forum,
I am looking for suggestions for a stabilizer (either mechanical or motorized) for a BMPCC4K that is easy to use/set up and under $1500.
I have rented the Zhiyun-Tech CRANE 2S Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer Combo Kit in the past and I found it to be cumbersome and hard to set up and fiddle with. I am a corporate videographer and former news photog that does run-and-gun documentary-style corporate video for a machinery manufacturing company. Our shoots are mostly on location at remote customer sites which at times have limited wifi access and low light. (yes I do use lights when I am able) Speed and ease of use are paramount. I would like something that can be somewhat quick-release when needing to switch from tripod to stabilizer. I work mainly alone, no PA or producer available for a 2nd set of hands and eyes.
My current 7Lb rig setup includes:
BMPCC4K (2018)
SmallRig full-frame cage
SmallRig Universal Wood Side Handle Samsung
Portable SSD T5
Canon EF lens, 24-105 mm or Tokina Superwide Lens 14-24 mm
Core SWX Powerbase EDGE Battery 14.8 volt Lithium Ion battery mounted on the bottom of the camera with Manfrotto 501PL quick release plate attached for quick release from handheld to a Manfrotto monopod or Sachtler Sachtler Tripod w/head – FSB6.
Any suggestions are welcome! Many thanks in advance!
