hand through a screen grading change
Hi,
I was hoping to create an effect where a persons hand reaches forward out of a computer screen,
I am fine with rotoscoping the hand etc but to sell the effect better I wanted to change the grading on the hand as it comes forward, so is there an easy way to create like a plain/film over the screen area which the hand can pass through forward,
I know this would be easy if the hand was going to the left or right as I could use a simple mask but as the hand is coming forward is there an easier way than key framing a mask path on the hand frame by frame

3D animating the hand instead of shooting it comes to mind as an “easier” solution. That way you can create the screen from a semi-transparent material. The exact meaning of “easier” in that sentence depends on your experience with such.
