  • Half-Frame Audio editing in FCP

I have this problem with synching audio’s in which at times is to cut short a singing performance by cheating the chorus part and the ending of the song.

At most times the audio will blend in 99% flawless. but some, its just like half a frame to make it sound proper.

Is there any way i could edit the audio in FCP down to the milisecond or at least half frame?

Holding the shift key you can drag the playhead to a subframe point, down to 1/100th of a second. You can mark an In point at subframe level. The out point has to be an exact number of frames and an exact distance from the in point.

Cmd-+ will zoom into the timeline. You need to do the audio editing with the shift key in the viewer.
