I’ve searched to find an answer and nothing….

I have a simple sphere with hair applied to make it look like grass. I have a few lights applied to the scene which are volumetric. When the lights are behind the sphere the only “volumetric” lighting comes sphere and not the hair. So what you see is light penetrating the grass and an outline of the sphere(caused by the volumetric lighting).

How do you get hair to take in account the volumetric lighting?

    Thanks again!

I think you would have to set the hair object to generate actual geometry (Hair Object>Generate>Type>(select something other than none or spline).
