Me and my friend are editing a new hd video we made and we’re using the vegas program to convert the .m2ts files over so we can edit them in avid xpress pro but we’re not sure how to get the files to convert to h.264. Ive tried using avi with an h.264 codec but i keep getting an error message saying that the codec or whatever doesn’t support the current project settings. I set it up to 1440×1080 which is the resolution of the avchd .m2ts files. Would it work if i used a different h.264 like quicktime or mp4 or something? My goal is to get the smallest size without compromising quality. Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED
