H.264/MPEG-4 codec
I am trying to import a file from a Samsung SC-HMX10C HD Camcorder into Final Cut Pro 6.0.5. It has a H.264/MPEG-4 codec. How would I do this? It’s giving me an error message.

Search the forum for “H.264.” We say daily that H.264 is not an editing codec. You must convert to ProRes. MPEG Streamclip does this, and it’s free.

Thanks. Would that conversion affect in anyway syncing the video to an audio file captured from a zoom h4n?

Might actually help it. FCP doesn’t like H.264s for editing…
