H.264/AVC encode for BluRay looks yellow
I’m encoding a series of trailers from Uncompressed 10 bit HD 4:2:2 to H.264 for BluRay using Compressor 3.5.2. Once muxed, burned to a BDR and played back the chroma skews toward yellow. Normal skin tones now look almost jaundiced!
Interestingly, the blues and greens do not look affected, only the reds.
Also interestingly, I’ve used Toast (on a different Mac than the one I encoded on) to convert the media back to Uncompressed 10 bit as well as ProResHQ and neither transcode suffers from the the chroma problem. It’s only happening on playback, and only from the authored discs.Playback for QC is happening on numerous players such as Sony PS3 and various Samsung/Panasonic/Sony/LG/Toshiba BD players. Every single one shows the reds phasing toward yellow.
Anyone seen or heard of this? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Haven’t seen this but I use Titanium Toast 10 to encode and burn my BD’s and I get too light a picture throughout. About half a stop too light, something to do with the Gamma? Mind you this is from Media 100 not FCP.
