I notice that when I change the compressor in my sequence settings to H.264 it wont allow me to render anything on the timeline. Can anyone else verify this?

If I want to create an H.264 movie what sequence settings should I use given that the timeline will contain digital still images, HDV footage and DV footage? or should I edit in seperate timelines to preserve real-time and then drop them all into a new timeline for final render and export?

    Thx

You do the H.264 codec after you’re done editing. You edit your full timeline, then export that as a Quicktime movie (either self-contained or by reference) and then use Compressor to make your H.264 codec movie.

I’ve not used HDV at all, only DVCPro HD, so I’m not sure what’s the best way to go with mixing DV / HDV. If it was in my workflow, I’d bring the DV up to DVCPro HD and edit in that timeline.
