Activity Forums Compression Techniques H264 Render

    I thought I’d try to render right out of AE to the H264 codec and the results were pretty awful. So I rendered an aimation clip and then made the H264 out of QT player and it was way better. Seems H264 really relies on before and after frames.

    Also, if you want the best encode use the multi-pass…looks very good and noticably better than the one pass.

    sllllllllloooooooowwwwwwwwww rendering with QT pro in our experience. Videos look pretty good.

    Are there any ways to have more than the default option for H264 in QT pro – we are on a PC.
