  • H.264 Pro Recorder – Record from command line/terminal?

Posted by Thomas Nesse on September 16, 2011 at 7:12 pm

I know I’m getting my hopes up here, but are there any command line tools to record to a file from the command line or terminal with the Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder? (Windows or Mac)

Followup question; If not, could the SDK be used to code a tool to do this? I’m trying to read the features of the SDK, but it’s not very clear.

I need to script automatic recording at given times during the day.

    Hi Thomas,

Have you solved this issue? If yes, I am interested in your solution.

I have coded a DLL to capture HD video, but I have no audio input; therefore, nothing to test the audio with. Video works just fine.

Please reply if you have any interest in my DLL.

    Hi John,
I did not solve it, but I ended up with a solution where i captured the video with an Intensity Pro and the compressed it. If you have a dll that can record h264 video directly, I would love to give it a go.

    Best,
    Thomas

    Hi John,

Could you send me your DLL for testing.

    Thanks and regards,
