I need to make a H.264 1920 x 1080i media file. The problem is that media encoder allows interlaced up to 1440 x 1080i, but in 1920 x 1080 it is only progressive, the interlaced choice is locked out.
Is there a way to do interlaced in the higher levels? What are the options?

If you picked H.264 as you export format, first set the “Level” to 4.1 and try again.

Here is an explanation of the levels option.

    Vince,

Great chart. Very helpfull, I got it working, you just need to change a few parameters, like frame rate, too, to get the interlaced box available.

    Thanks,

I noticed that on the H.264 chart 1920×1080 is 1920x1088. I wonder if this is a typo, I have never heard of “1088”
