I have a 8 min. 1920×1080 prores sequence that I am compressing (uning compressor) for vimeo to H.264 1280×720. It has been rendering for 24 hrs. on a new octocore and is only about 25% done judging by the render bar. Did I do something wrong? The only thing that comes to mind is that I told it to deinterlace. I guess I could have done that in FCP first. Do these renders really take that long? What can I do to speed up render time?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Are you using a virtual cluster? if not, google it.

In addition to what Jeremy said, did you export a QuickTime Movie from FCP, or did you send to or share to Compressor? You should do the former after a full render and audio mixdown.

    All the best,

    Tom
