  H.264 into DVD

  Hallo Everybody,

  I got a final from another editor – it was 7D footage, which she edited natively in the QT H.264 Codec.
  She gave me the masters in this codec.
  Since I usually work with FCP – so I convert everything to ProRes first.

  Now my Q: When i get H.264 files, should I convert them first to something less compressed than the H.264 Codec or can I immediately compress this HD file in Compressor to a MPeG2 File and downsize it to SD?
