H.264 for DVD Studio Pro, incompatible format?? thoughts on this?
Hi all,
I’m currently authoring a HD DVD in a DVD-R, following the “walk through” in this link:
https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/hd_dvds_on_sd_dvds_young.html
What I did is I exported my project (edited in Apple ProRes 422 HQ) to a .mov file using “Export as quicktime movie” in FCP, from there I dragged the .mov file into compressor and compressed it using the “HD DVD: H.264 60 minutes” .
Now I have the file, and I go to DVD Studio Pro, put all the settings correct (HD DVD, resolution:1440 x 1080, etc), but when I try to import the .mov H.264 file created from compressor into my assets window, or even directly on the track timeline, DVD SP says “Incompatible Format”.I don’t understand why this is the happening, can anyone help me out as to what I should do?
When I export in compressor using “HD DVD: MPEG 30 minutes”, the created file imports fine in DVD SP, but I would like to use the H.264 so I can store more footage in the DVD-R.
Any advise would be much appreciated.Cheers,
