  • H264 Exports from Motion 3 Only Render Half the Image

    Hey,

It doesn’t matter what i do, if I use the H264 codec when doing a simple Export from Motion 3, it only ever renders half the image. The animation and the music are there, but the bottom half of the image is just black.

The same happens if I use compressor to encode to H264 as well.

I originally thought that it was problem with my MAC, but I’ve since tried it on another Mac Pro and the same thing happened.

Any ideas why this happens, is it a bug?

My files tend to be created at 25fps and vary in size (resolution 720×576, 640×360 etc…)

The work around I have to do is to Export using teh Animation Codec, then re-compress to H264 using QuickTime pro. This is not ideal as it means the file is double squashed.

If you need more info, let me know.
