  • H.264 Compressed Mpeg-2 – 100 mbps ?

Posted by Katherine Sweetman on September 17, 2012 at 6:03 pm

    I’m trying to make a non-standard sized 3D (3840×1080) H.264 compressed Mpeg-2 Container file for Netflix.

    Container
    • MPEG-2 TS
    • Video
    • Codec: H.264 100 mbps
    • Full-Resolution SBS: 3840×1080
    • Notice that the width is 2x of 1920 but the height stays the same at
1080 compared to your 2D 1080 HD file

Does anyone know if I can do with with Adobe Media Encoder or Compressor? Or… anything mac based?

    THANK YOU

    H264 is not MPEG2… It’s MPEG 4.

Once you have your H.264 file encoded, you can use tsMuxer to wrap into a Mpeg2 Transport Stream.

[Vince Becquiot] “Once you have your H.264 file encoded, you can use tsMuxer to wrap into a Mpeg2 Transport Stream.”

That’s what I used once to deliver a 3D show for DirecTV.

It worked. It was mpeg2 though not h.264

Will tsMuxer keep the H.264 encode?

I can make it, but I can’t view it (very well crashes VLC), can’t find out if it kept H.264, and check if it’s still at 100 mbps…

    Yes, it’s only a wrapper.

I ended up farming out to https://www.anytime-post.com/
I believe they used telestream pro. Nothing I did on my own worked. Nothing from this thread worked.
