I’ve been sent some files in h264 that need to be edited into a program with my own footage. I downloaded the h264 files to my laptop and they play back just fine. Now at the office I try them on my desktop and the audio has slipped about 16 frames. I went back to my laptop and they work fine again. Both machines are running identical software on WinXP and have the same amount of memory. Any ideas why the audio would only slip on one machine?

    thx

Are the files from a Canon 5Dmk2 by any chance? There’s a known issue that the file header is 30fps but the video is actually recorded at 29.97 fps. This comes up when you try to sync up with an external audio source, like on a music video.
