    I need to edit some material in Mpeg2, but because of the GOP structure mpeg2 is not a really “editable” codec. If I transcode that material from mpeg2 to H264, is it more editable?

    What operating system are you using? If you are using Windows, I would say convert it to AVI. If you are using a Mac, then convert it to QT with the H264 codec.

    I’m Using Mac OSX, I will use H264.
