  GY-HM700U audio muddy

  I recently purchased JVC GY-HM700U. I recorded a presentation today, the audio monitored clean during the presentation. I loaded into FCP and the audio sounds over modulated and muddy. I took the file into AE an it plays clean as can be. Can anyone suggest a setting or two for me to check into FCP or my camera?
