  • Guidelines to reducing artifacts for copying DV render to S-VHS (and other analog video tape formats)

    Hi all,
I have been requested to copy renders (Sony DV codec) from a Sony Vegas project consisting of motion graphics content and output them over analog (S-Video) to S-VHS for copying. The DV to analog conversion unit is a Canopus ADVC100. Now I know that DV was really designed for imagery acquired with a camera and not for computer generated imagery. Nevertheless, I am trying to reduce the artifacts (e.g. blocking, quilting) associated with the DV codec so that they are less distracting when output over to analog.

Anyone can provide some general guidelines on this please? Thanks in advance.
