  • Guide, mask and shape lines thick and blurry 2015.3

Posted by Enrique Rovira on June 28, 2016 at 1:45 pm

After updating, the guides, the masks and shapes all have thick blurry lines, not the sharp and clean that were before.

Also when editing anchor points in a mask or shape, the point doesn’t change as before (hollow or filled centre) so I cannot see whether it’s been selected. Is this happening to everybody?

    Thanks,

    Enrique

I haven’t noticed that on any of my systems. What OS? What size screen are you working on? What happens if you change the “Use hardware to accelerate panels” switch in the preferences?

    Hey,

I tried using hardware to accelerate panels but didn’t make a difference.

    My system:
    Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.5 (15F34)
    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) – 27-inch (5120 x 2880)
Processor 4 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
    Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB

I’ve attached an image here so you can see how the guides are showing. It is happening on 2 other systems here, same specs…

It seems to be a bug on hiDPI screens. I don’t have any 4K or 5K screens on my computers 🙁
If you zoom your comp panel in, the guides don’t get any bigger, right?
I’d recommend filing a bug with Adobe (even though I’m pretty sure they’re aware of this one already).

That’s right, if you zoom they don’t get any bigger.

And thanks I’ll file a bug report for what it’s worth!
