  • GTX 690, 780, or Titan?

I’m looking at the GTX 690, GTX 780, and GTX Titan (potentially the overclocked versions) for a Hackintosh system. Which would give me the best and fastest rendering of 1080p, 2.8K Arriraw, 4K/5K R3D footage in Resolve? I have the full license version of Resolve.

I will be sticking with a single graphics/video card for now, and all the threads I’ve read about the best GPUs always get into talking about multiple cards n expanders, which I don’t want to do, at least not at this time.

    Thanks.

Titan. Be sure you have sufficient power and cooling. If you do i feel its large GPU RAM more valuable than raw core count, especially if you plan on using the new v10 features and greater than HD resolution files.

The other two cards are also good so if you have or can only get those they are fine.

All three will be listed in the v10 config guide due out later this quarter.

Thanks! That is exactly what I thought, and glad I now know for sure.

Hi peter, why the titan vs 690?

As I red, 690 has more cuda core and two gpus. Davinci reads this card like two gpus… what do you think?

Also, any one has tested the heat in a Mac pro with those two cards? any modifications? and using this popular external 500 Watts power supply to feed it. is this enough?

    best regards
