  GTX 285 poor performance vs ATI 4870

  I swapped out my ATI 4870 for the Avid qualified GTX285 because Marquee was crashing and I was told it could be the ATI 4870. I honestly didn’t even bother checking Marquee- The GTX 285 is horrible at scrubbing through clips. I get major hesitation. The ATI was very responsive- smooth as silk.. I’m running 10.6.2 and ran all updates. Any reason for this poor performance? I think I’m going back to the ATI unless someone can help.
