A scene in a film we have shot involves a character being taken over by a being, and we have a close up of his eye and would like to see strands appearing in his eye, as if its running through his capillaries and taking over his body. What would be the best tool to use to make this work? I have trapcode 3d stroke and thought that could work, but I would like the strands to grow and then separate off into separate strands. If you imagine a bolt of lightening, it isn’t just one line of light sometimes, it often separates off as it gets closer to earth – so a similar idea.

Or you could try and get creative with the advanced lightning tool. It might actually work for the purpose you’re describing. You could generate an alpha from it, and then wipe it on.

Yeah I found that one and I’ve had some fun with it! Looks exactly like I imagined 🙂
