growing plants and trees
hi all,
just wanted to know if anybody can tell me how those
clips with growing trees, leafs etc are done…
(i think the latest i saw was on mtv – yes, like the new from nokia (europe))i don’t think that it is done by animating masks….
maybe in a 3d app??
maybe with xfrog??thanx for any input!!!

That tutorial is the most trendy thing going around. But in case you were referring to something a bit more real, there are several things like Xfrog, Maya paint effects (In Maya) and such.
If you have C4D, there is a free expression that grows things. Check the post from the author here and the gallery samples. One of the samples is a tree being built and grown:
