    It’s actually not that hard, but it gets tedious as you add complexity to the image and subtlety to the animation.

    Essentially, what they’re doing is combining reveals using masks (for stems and vines) and scaling layers up in size for rounder objects like the flowers.

    That second one took me a few viewings to digest, but after I got what he was saying, I realized that all it took was some time and caffeine to plow through it. I’m working on a similar project now. Once I finish, I’ll post some AEP’s for others to play with. I encourage others to do the same!

    All the flowers except the close up one is growing on by an animated mask with some feathering. The one that is close up was made in a 3d modeling and animating program and brought in as a clip.
