Growing Branches Effect ???
Hey Guys!
A very common graphic effect on TV these days is the growing branches effect. And by growing branches i mean this…

Notice how the branches are developing on the walls… To me it seems some kind of matte filter.
Now is this a part of the motion library, a plug-in or something custom made?

Probably a combination of all three and probably not done in just one program. That’s the art of motion graphics- you do what each shot requires.

It could have been maid interlay in Motion. No problem. As for the growing lines you may want to look at the pre-made ones that come with Motion. Go to the Library tab and select Content. Select Drawings, and enjoy the growing lines. There are other ways to build them but looking out how these where built is probably the easiest way to learn.

Looks like something Andrew Kramer would do at Video Co-Pilot.
They have a TON of tutorials for After Effects (sorry, no Motion). I use both. But the AE tutorials are awesome. They also have a lot of prebuilt templates and packages that you can buy.
