Growing Arrow
I’m trying to make a growing arrow (think map, arrow going from point A to point B leaving the tail in place). What’s the best way to do this? I’m figuring using a stroke and somehow attaching the arrow head to it ….

This has come up a few times. Search the COW posts (include the archives) for “arrow”.

Draw you path using a mask and the Stroke effect, animate the End of the Stroke to make the arrow grow. Copy the mask to the position property of the layer acting as the arrowhead and adjust the timing. Enable the layer’s auto-orient to make it rotatet in sync with the path curvature.
