Hi, is it possible to group expression controllers into single ‘effects’? What I want to do is create an ‘effect’ which can be twirled up and down with several controllers in it so it is easy to tell which set of controllers relate to a particular control of an object. For example, I have an object that I want to rotate x, y & z but I also have separate parts of that object that need x & y rotation and another part that just needs x – it would be really helpful to be able to group the controllers into ‘effects’ that can be twirled up and down so I can easily identify and control the right part without loads of angle controllers on my controls layer. Any ideas of advice welcome. Andrew

You either have to create an actual effect, or you can create a pseudo effect by modifiying AE’s PresetEffects.xml file to define your effects controls, apply that effect with a script, and then save it as a preset, which you can apply later. There’s a lot of info out there on the exact steps involved.
