    Hello All,

I am not a professional, I use vegas 14 for family stuff.

I have read and read but my continued frustration lies with grouping and then moving the vid/audio to a different track.

example, I have video1/audio 1,,, beneath that video2/audio2.. If I group the audio and video immediately after importing they will behave as desired, as in if i move the video to track 2 the audio will move to audio 2. If I split the track, the grouping ,,,ungroups. it remains grouped for timeline purposes but not moving tracks.

How can I have the audio/video forever be grouped? When the audio get lost in a different track it will affect everything else is autoripple is on. Am i missing a simple setting somewhere?

If i click control-drag or copy/cut/paste it will move A/V down as desired,

    Thank you,

    Chris

You can select the tracks of video1/audio1 and right click the video, select group and then select select “Create New” and its true that if you hold CTRL and click on the clips that you wish to work with, you can move them all at the same time. It would be helpful if you have a video clip of your issue, that way I can get a better idea visually on whats going on. So if there are other things going on there, would like to understand better to help you further on this.

That works right up until you split the clip,, So if I import 20 minutes of video,, group it,, it works,, split that video and the grouping does not work.. SPlit it 20 times,, 20 times you have to go back and group it
