I was using Final Cut Pro fine on my old Mac Book, despite the program being meant for the Macbook Pro. I bought a new Mac Book. I had a hard time getting Final Cut pro to work and got grey bars on all my footage. The Genius Bar was no help. A friend suggested that since I’d copied the program over I should uninstall and then install from the disc. I did that and it worked great. Everything edits.

I shot my footage using P2 cards. When I output a file the grey bars show up again but only on the P2 footage. Not on footage from other sources. It’s not in Final Cut Pro, only my output.

The bars are three rectangular bars at the top middle and bottom of each side and one in the middle.
