    Hey everyone

    Stupid questions again 🙂
Tomorrow I’m shooting my first greenscreen shoot. I think I’ve prepared well:
    1) Light the greenscreen well
    2) Light the actors too 😉
    3) Make distance between actors and screen… and so on

I’m shooting the whole thing on a Panasonic DVX 100, and I read around the forum about this cam. What I found out until now is this:

    1) Shoot at 30 fps – easier to key and no frame rate conversions

Have anyone of you some tricks on how to set the camera best for greenscreen footage? I’m really not so familiar with the camera, so really noob tips and tricks would be nice too!

i really want to know about how the camera shoots progressive. Can it be turned off, or is it just something that it does? And what do I have to look out for when capturing/rendering progressive footage?

Again, thanks for everything in here 🙂

Thanks to both of you – specially you Dave for the long answer.

I did a test with the camera, and shot a scene in both 25p and with progressive turned off.

I live in Denmark (you know, a PAL country). If I wanted to use the 25P footage, what do I have to do then to use the footage in a PAL project in After Effects? What about all that frame rate conversion and so on?

The thing is, I really don’t have the money for the expensive equipment, so I have to work it out with the DVX 100.

Anyway, thanks for responding- you’re a great help 🙂

    Hey dave

Thanks a lot.. that was my conclusion too!
Anyway, take a look at my greenscreen shot. For me, it looks quite good – the lighting and everything?
I know that I will probably have some difficulties with some reflections from the greenscreen in the drums.
