Hello. I plan on doing a play on the mac vs pc commericals, except instead of the pc, there will be 3 pcs.

now i dont have enough greenscreen to shoot all 4 people at the same time. i was thinking of shooting them all one by one and compositing the shot together into a master shot (for the opening)

however, i’m not sure if that will work. before i start experimenting, i was wondering if anyone had done this before. let me know if you can. thanks.

yeah, you can shoot each person separately and composite them together … just make sure your green screen covers as much of the talent as you want to key … ie.. foot to head if you want full body shots…

then just follow normal greenscreen procedure …

have a search around the COW and web for “garbage matte” “garbage mask” “green screen” “chromo key” “rotoscopin” …..and hopefully this will point you in the right direction … good luck

I’m sure that it will work, even if you shoot every person separtely and if you use the correct technique,no person would be able to find out how you got the result.

    yeah, it works

the only thing is you have to plan the scene carefully if you want them to interact in any way

I use this a lot because I live far away from my friends so I make many movies about clones, where there are several me’s on-screen

just for the background, i want to shoot a mac vs pc like commercial, and open with a master of 3 pcs and one mac.

so while casting, i liked one guy for the pc who was about 6’5″ and a bunch of other guys between 5’8″ and 6′

now i really want to use the big guy, but want all the guys to look about the same height.

now when shooting on the greenscreen, do i need to change the height of the camera when shooting? i plan on shrinking the big guy to look like the other guys. thanks.
