    Hi Cows,

I have a MacPro with an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT card connected to a 30″ Cinema Display. I’m running SL but the problem occurred on Leopard as well.

And that problem is that every so often when I wake up the monitor, it’ll have green artifacts all over it. See picture…

The only remedy is to unplug the monitor adapter from the power block and plug it back in. Fixes the issue immediately. I have checked the seating on the gfx card and regularly remove dust from the case. Any one ever see this or have a clue how I might begin to chase down the issue. I have AppleCare, but I thought if I can fix it quickly, I won’t have to deal with lost time.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Well its ether a bad display or bad graphics card. If you have another display try it with that, if the issue continues it is most likely the graphics card.
