    Hey there,
I am shooting against a greenscreen and have a bit of a problem. The actors are crawling along a greenscreen laster to be replaced by a CG hall but I am having many problems with green spill and shadows because they are actually on the screen. I have a 3 point lighting system but am finding it a little difficult to eliminate some shadows. I am keying with keylight 1.2 but there is still a lot of green spill.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i could fix this?

    Thanks,
    Pat

PS. I am shooting in DV PAL

Your talent is too close to the screen. Also keep in mind how they are to appear in the scene… are they lit properly?

I am wondering what a laster is… and to clarify in your email, is your problem shadows on your greenscreen behind talent, or green spill on talent causing keying problems?

whoops sorry, i meant ‘later’ instead of laster. Umm, im having problems with both the shadows and green spill due to the closeness of the subject to the screen as i need a full body shot of them crawling upon it.
