Does anyone have good experience using canon 7D for keying shoots, we have some spots to shoot. I love the 7d but never use it on a green screen. I’m worry about the H264 compression and the focus issues, any direction or advice is very welcome

As with any camera a well lit greenscreen is the most critical aspect. Everything else will fall into place.

Shot a couple of greenscreen and bluescreen clips with the 550D and had no problems with them.
Being able to defocus the background more easily than with “standard” camcorders, will help in the keying process.
As Noah wrote, a well lit screen is essential.

I shot some greenscreen footage with a ReflecMedia kit and keyed with AE. I was VERY impressed with the results.

Focus shouldn’t be an issue if you manually focus and blur the background.
