    Hi guys,

I have been looking for a place to shoot my green screen footage, but I have not found a big enough place to rent that will not break the bank.

    Here is my situation:

I am going to be shooting a lot of interviews of business owners and actors doing various things like dancing, talking, walking, etc. in front of the green screen.

Shooting will vary, so I will not need a space every single day. Probably 2 to 3 times a week. and probably for half a day.

What I am doing is shooting footage of my clients in front of a 10ft wide by 20ft long green screen.

What do you guys normally do when you need a space to shoot footage? I was thinking of finding a storage space company that will allow me to shot my video in. Right now that is the most cost effective place I can think of. Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

I am located 45 minutes (north) away from atlanta if you guys know of a place in this area.

    Hi,

Check the schools in your area. Most of them have a Gym that would allow you to shoot a big GS scene. It worked great for me so many times;-)

    Salut,

Interesting suggestion. I do not know if the school is an option for me b/c of my location. I might be able to find a local business that will work with me. Maybe a local theater.

    Thanks.

    Trey,

If you are 45 minutes north of ATL have you thought about finding one of those huge churches in Chattanowhere? The great thing about shooting at a church with the stage is that they also have some lighting that can help your situation. Obviously, you will have your own lights but you could get some great highlights, etc. with some additional fresnels from above. I hope you find what you are looking for and many of those places will allow you to do it for free too.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

And, depending on the activities of the church, their large space may be more available during the week. A school’s gym would likely be used daily. Some churches have multi-use spaces that get tons of use, but others have a large auditorium or sanctuary that’s only used on Sunday mornings, so you might be able to leave your equipment up longer.
