Green screen problem, background not appearing.
I have followed several youtube tutorials on how to chroma-key/green screen. I get to the stage where I have ticked show mask only and have made me all white and the background all black. I then uncheck show mask, and exit chroma key. I’m there in front of the black background and all is as it should be. I then drag my background underneath the clip and it doesn’t appear or it does appear but only where the black bars would be on a widescreen video. What am I doing wrong?

I gather your using the Vegas Chromakey plugin. Can you post a screenshot of the plugin so we can see your settings?

I don’t know what exactly you want me to screenshot. When I select the chroam keyer and drag it on top of my ev ent it is the same as all the tutorials show. I don’t think its the chroam keyer’s settings that are wrong, it must be some sort of setting on my camera or the video clip cos all the steps work, the background just isn’t replaced.
