    Hello,

I’m very green when it comes to chroma key – pun intended. I know how to change an entire background, that is not an issue. What I want to do is transpose a computer screen on a video. If I put a green screen material on the computer screen, how can I transpose a photo or another video in that spot?

Especially when the camera is panning in the room and the computer would then be changing positions on the screen. How can this be done? I must be missing something.

    Thank you for your help.

Tracking + corner pinning. No need for greenscreen. Here’s an article on VFX Talk that walks you through it:

    Awesome, thanks.

What if I have someone walk in front of the screen during the video? I would need a green screen at that point and time right?

Can I then use the same process?

—-Yes, you would. Or you could rotoscope, but that’s always a pain. Greenscreen would be better. The tricky part is that you will lose the corner reference when the person is blocking the corner (if they walk in front), and have to interpolate the position during those frames. BTW, green (or blue) fabric or cloth cut to fit will generally work MUCH better than sending a signal (color image) to the monitor.

Here’s another good tutorial on YouTube for tracking.
