    Hi all 🙂
Not been round this end for a while, but it was only a matter of time.

Ok, so I have some green screen footage that I need to comp with some CGI. I’m trying to fake the shadows with Red Giant shadow.

Problem is, Green screen footage has been shrunk in my comp, and now the shadow effect does not extend outside the footage layer.

So how do I stop that from happening?

If you use Real Shadows plugin from Image Lounge/Red Giant there’s an option for Avoiding clipping. I am not sure if the plugin that you are using has that. If not, you can always precompose the keyed footage and make the size of the precomp the same as your final comp and then apply the shadow effect.

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried pre-comping it earlier, couldn’t get it to work. Didn’t realise that the pre-comp has to be the same size as the comp.

I got it working now, the shadows work perfectly. If you haven’t tried Red Girant warp, I recommend it. It’s a great set.
