Excluding HD. Which camera would work best with greenscreen work? I’ve heard that the IMX and XDCAM aren’t great due to NOISE.

Are you going to be in a studio environment where you can use a separate VTR or uncompressed NL workstation to record, or do you require a camera/recorder for field recording?

I won’t have access to a deck. I’ll be in the field.

What format VTRs do you have available to play back your tape on, would be a consideration before selecting a camera.
Also what budget do you have including lens?

Also, how are you going to light your green screen in the field to give you a good key?

    Hi Michael,

If you can, usa a Digital Betacam camcorder setup to record in 10-bit 4:2:2. Use soft TUNGSTEN lighting for the Greenscreen and foreground image. If that is not possible, use soft Daylight and make sure forground and background light levels are similar and that no shadow is seen on the greenscreen.
