September 23, 2009 at 6:38 pmFinal thought on this: The technical, post production aspects of this have been addressed here. But this problem raises the CRITICAL issue of planning a green screen shoot in advance. The on-camera talent must be informed in advance about clothing restrictions. And you have to use a crew who knows how to light and shoot a green screen. There is a lot more to it than meets the eye. Advance preparation for those shoots is a must. Fixing something like this in post is a real time-waster.

September 23, 2009 at 7:36 pmAgreed! It’s kind of difficult to give your boss tips… 🙁 I did forward him a link to Ken Stone’s site on properly shooting green screens. Ouch.

September 23, 2009 at 11:09 pmI am having this exact issue with a green screen edit TODAY. The product has a blue and green label so the producer chose the lesser of the two evils and we are now posting. As this is my first time keying out green, would you mind elaborating on how you pulled this off? I kinda had the idea of multiple layers but if you’ve figured it out (and I’m in a bit of a time crunch) any help would be better than trial and error. Anyway, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks!
