We are seeing a green halo on subtitles in Windows Media Player, but only on some discs. Clearly this is a WMP error in rendering to screen. It does not show in most other apps or on players.

But the green halo does not show on some discs produced by others which are, as far as we can tell, identical the one we are producing. On some discs you get the green, but not on others. 100% repeatable, but we can find no common attribute that might be the source of the error. The green is affected by scaling. Scaling up tends to make it go away. And we see some discs that get the added edge but it is grey and not green. And others that behave just like ours.

Have you seen this? Do you have any idea what might be done to mitigate this error?

    cheers,

    Tod,
windows media player is NO certified DVD/BD-player-software. in that reason it´ll behave strange sometimes. you don´t have any influence on that.

    cheers
