    Hi All,

I have 27 years post-production experience with various NLE systems, but am relatively new to Premiere Pro, so go easy on what could be a newb question.

I am editing in CS6 pPro dynamically linking to a CS6 AE comp to do rig removal of scenes. I am working on my client’s MacPro 4,1 Quad-Core 24GB memory OSX 10.7.5. The original file is XDCAM-HD 422 1920×1080 23.976fps MXF. Video out is Blackmagic 9.6. Also using Cuda 5.0.37

I am animating a mask and as I pull through my timeline in AE, I get occasional flashes of green. They happen at the same location. The green flashes are consistent when I go back to pPro to look at my comp in the pPro timeline. I’ve rendered the comp in my timeline with same results.

Stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

More info… the media is being pushed over my client’s network. As a test, I copied the MXF file structure to the desktop and Replaced Footage in AE, green flashes gone.

Any time I’ve had that rare issue it’s because of the codec, specifically “Uncompressed 8 or 10-bit 4:2:2”.

Not sure if that helps, but maybe it’s the codec.
