Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Green Error?

    Hi,
I work at a final cut pro lab and yesterday I encountered a completely new problem, and then a few hours later my friend had the same problem while editing his video on a different computer.
In the first case, the girl had been editing a little on a different computer and everything was ok, but on this day she was at a different station and trying to play clips in the timeline and the sound was coming through but the video was green.. just green. The clips looked fine viewed individually, and she had watched them before on another station and they were fine.

Then later that day my friend was editing his video on a personal computer, not in the lab, and he was trying to export and some of his video was green, and today almost the whole thing comes up green when he plays it in the timeline. As far as I know they both have the same version of final cut, 5.0.4 most likely, but I have never seen this before in my life. Anyone know what’s going on? Thank you!

Check to see that the playback is set to RGB and not anything else, if that’s OK, try trashing preferences for FCP to reload standard settings.
