    Hi, another question:

If we would not go with the Grass Valley Turbo-R iDDR for MPEG-2 compression, an option could be to set up a PC/Mac with a AJA Xena/Kona card (for live capture) and an ATTO card for fiber output to e.g. a G-Systems RAID. What would be the smartest way to compress/convert the incoming signal to MPEG-2, 8Mbps, format before it gets send to teh G-Systems RAID? Is there a software available that would do that in realtime?

    Thanks again,
    Gerhard
