  • Graphics/Titles Lose Quality When Nested?

    Hello all, first post!

After a fair amount of googling and searching the forums here I’ve decided to post my issue and see if anyone can help me out.

Basically (in PPro CS3 – PAL DV) I have a main sequence and many nested sequences which contain all the on screen graphics/titles for the project (for organizational and animation reasons). For whatever reason if a graphic element (say a simple still image of someone) is directly placed into the main sequence it looks crystal clear, but if I have the same element in a nested sequence the graphic element becomes very blocky, both when viewing in PPro and after exporting (so it’s not a “preview quality” issue).

I’ve tried every combination of interlacing, deinterlacing, etc. that I can imagine to no avail. Again, it just seems to be related to whether or not the element is in a nested sequence. I’m sure there has to be a super simple answer to this but I simply can’t figure it out or find anyone with a similar issue/answer online.

    Best Regards,

    Justin

Have you started a new project and tried it with just a one color bkd and a title? I’m just curious as to whether or not you might have a project that has a peculiarity…
